Meeting in Gdańsk
Within 18-22 November 2009, Hewelianum Centre, operating at Cultural Park of City Fortification “Gdańsk Fortress”, entertained the representatives of European institution, together which whom is implementing two-year-lasting educational project “Let’s mix up creativity and innovation in adult education”. The project has been funded with support from the European Commission in the frame of Lifelong Learning Programme – Grundtvig, with a partnership of 5 institutions:

The first international project partners meeting in Gdańsk was devoted to the presentation of innovative methods of education that are used by Hewelianum Centre in adult education. During the meeting, the examples of good practice in history, physics and astronomy were presented, using a science-multimedia and interactive expositions in Hewelianum Centre. During these days, on the Fort of Gradowa Mountain, two lessons were displayed on the basis of “Time Machine – Man and Missile” and “Energy, Sky and Sun” expositions.
The learners, instead of guests from abroad and staff of host institution, were constituted as a adults above 55+, the target group in the project.
The lessons were given in Polish, interpreted into English and recorded by cameraman in order to produce a film about innovative and creative ways of education in Hewelianum Centre. The last day of the meeting went by getting to know the history of Gdańsk and its monuments.
